The Phattest House

The Phattest accommodation in Hakuba is back for their 3rd season in Japan!

For those of you unfamiliar with Hakuba, The Phat House is located in the small village known as Iwatake (Iwa-ta-ke) about 10 mins South of the main Hakuba village, Happo-One. Iwatake is one of the funnest resorts in the Honshu alps with numerous runs and side country suitable for all levels of skier or snowboarder. With panoramic views of Hakuba, Iwatake is a favourite with many of the local Japanese.

The Phat house is managed by a group of young Auatralian frothers from Sydney and Melbourne who by their own admission are "reverse retiree's". Cam, Matt, Bron and Cindy have created what can only be described as the ultimate lodge style accommodation in Hakuba. The lodge is specially good for young groups, young families and just people in general who's number 1 priority is to shred everything the Honshu Alps has to offer on a daily basis no matter the conditions.

The Phat House offer numerous services that other lodges would otherwise charge a bunch of money for. For exanmple; COMCAR (community car hire) for guests is readily available and the only charge passed onto the guests is the cost of refuelling the car. This is a great service allowing you to explore the many mountains available to ski. There is a jib park located at the back of the lodge which is great for people to end the day with apres around the fire watching new friends try out a few rails.

The restaurant and bar serves up some of the best food in Japan with Western and Japanese cuisine to choose from.

The accommodation varies in price and comfort. Starting from as low as $80 per night for the dorm style rooms all the way up to appx $150 per night for twin or double rooms with ensuite facilities.

So check out Phat House and we guarantee you wont be dissapointed!
