A full breakfast is included, but in the evening guests can choose to eat at the lodge or take advantage of the complimentary restaurant shuttle to go out in Hakuba village.

Big Bear Cortina Lodge provide a morning shuttle to the Happo-One Resort, stopping at the Tsugaike and Iwatake Resorts along the way, followed by a return pick-up service from each of those resorts in the afternoon. For those looking to enjoy Hakuba's many great restaurants, take advantage of their 'apres ski' direct shuttle to the Hakuba/Happo area and their 'after dinner' return service.

Let the Adventures Begin:
Situated in the breathtakingly beautiful Northern Japan Alps, Hakuba stands out as one of Japan's top winter resort areas, offering some of the best winter sports action in Japan. The host of the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, Hakuba comprises nine ski resorts stretched across a broad valley, and provides more terrain, vertical rise and advanced ski and snowboard slopes than anywhere in Japan. Abundant snow falls and excellent powder conditions make Hakuba a perennial top choice of skiers and snowboarders from around the world.

9 Resorts. 135 Lifts. Over 200 Runs:
For more than 70 years, Hakuba has been providing skiers, boarders and outdoor enthusiasts the ideal conditions for enjoying a superlative winter sports experience. Over 200 different trails, exceptional powder and some of the longest vertical skiing in Japan are just a few of the reasons why Hakuba has earned its reputation as a prime destination for skiers and boarders of all levels.

A World of Snow at Your Doorstep:
How Do You Want to Play Today?  Nine ski resorts are located across the Hakuba Valley, all within easy reach of the local towns of Happo and Wadano. Plenty of snow, miles of trails and easy access from major Japanese cities are just a few of the reasons why visitors return to Hakuba year after year.

Just the tip of the iceberg:
The resort runs make up a fraction of the overall ski-able terrain in the Hakuba region.  With expert guides like Steve Lee and his team you will get Off Piste and experience Backcountry bliss. You don't need to be a pro skier or boarder to experience the wonders of backcountry Hakuba.  Hiking 400 metre further from the top of the main gondola to Northern Face terrain at one of the resorts will have you and your friends in your very own private winter wonderland.  Fresh untracked snow with a variety of terrain from advanced to intermediate.  You certainly need to have some skills to go back-country and of course the right gear and safety equipment.  Steve Lee and his team will ensure you are up for it and well prepared before you venture Off Piste into some of Japan's finest terrain.
