Powder Peak Cottage - Echoland

Overview

Powder Peak Cottage is a fabulous two bedroom house nestled in Echoland village... one of Hakuba's main restaurant, bar and shopping precincts. Echoland is ideally situated between the ski slopes of Goryu/Hakuba 47 on one side and Happo One on the other. Everything is walking distance from the cottage, including the free shuttle bus servicing all the main Hakuba Valley ski resorts.

This warm and cosy fully self-contained house has a very unique layout maximizing over 80sq metres of living space. With 5 different split levels, this home away from home offers great privacy with two separate bedrooms, plus separate floors for the bathroom, kitchen and lounge.  All spaces are tastefully furnished in a modern Japanese style and all rooms boast views of the village... you'll feel like a local with your own address in the heart of Echoland.

Your hosts, Australian Greg & Japanese Kiyomi are only a phone call away with any information you may need. Nothing is too much trouble and they take a lot of pride in their service and inside knowledge on everything in Hakuba.

Sarugaku:  Japanese
You must try their pork belly. It melts on your tounge. Why don't you order many dishes and share among your friends. That's the Japanese way!

Hie:  Japanese
Always busy with the locals. Enjoy the traditional Izakaya pub food and atmosphere.

Takahashike:  Japanese Ramen / Gyoza
You need something quick and warm on a cold day?  Try their Ramen and Gyoza.

Bear's Cafe:  Local cafe
Their spacious and cozy lounge with confortable sofas is where you want to relax before you head out for dinner or drinks. Breakfast is also available every day. Grab a coffee and a warm muffin while you wait for the ski shuttle bus.

Mocking Bird:  Bar / Light Meals
A very nice atmosphere... always busy in Winter and great hosts. Good spot to meet others.

Jin Hoa:  Singaporean
Their xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) are yummy!

Marukame:  Korean BBQ
Cook your meat on a portable clay cooking stove on the table.
